Lead singer and songrwriter Andrew Parker writes: "Let It End" was written during the mourning period of a lengthy and significant relationship. I was feeling down about something meaningful ending, but also empowered in realizing the toxicity of a situation and deciding it's not right for you. I was tempted to return to something familiar, but remained steadfast in letting things with them end when they should.
lyrics
If everything you touched could turn to gold
Maybe your skin wouldn't be so cold
I don't know where you get off acting like that
But you know, it ain't worth it, it ain’t cool
Writing another love song, bout a broken heart
So I don't know bout you but I'm about to change it up in a second or two
Cause I know now, what I knew then
There's no way I’m going back again
I think it's time, to let it end
Let it end
You know I'm just messin' around, I am up, not down
But sometimes I don't know what to think
Sometimes I wish I was back and I don't know how to act
Shit takes me to the brink
But you know, I don't mind, no I really, I don't mind
Cause I'm doing fine
After all, this is great this is something to celebrate
I have finally freed my mind
Cause I know now, what I knew then
There's no way I’m going back again
I think it's time, to let it end
Cause I knew then, what I know now
And I don’t know how, I could go back again
I think it’s time
Cause I know now, what I knew then
There's no way I’d ever go back again
I think it's time, really
Oh you know it’s time
Maybe one last time
Just let it end
Let it end
Let it end
Let it end
